For me:

  • That guy winning American Samoa
  • Uncommitted getting 19% in Minnesota
  • Williamson getting 13% in Louduon County
  • Both Katie Porter and Barbra Lee missing the CA runoff

I was surprised by how much I didn't care. I paid attention to the CA Sen and NC Gov primaries, but this may be the first presidential cycle of my life that Super Tuesday just didn't matter all that much.

American Samoa, Biden doing worse in Minnesota than in Michigan at the same time as no signs of trouble for Biden in California, and Haley generally overprerforming my expectations everywhere.

I suppose I’m in the same boat- I looked at the returns for 10 minutes last night, and again maybe 20 minutes this morning.

Does Haley win in VT when she quit before the count finished?

Trump doing better in CA than in TX. Nobody predicted that.

It doesn't matter because there is no way Trump wins CA

Despite Super Tuesday primaries being rife with mail-in voting and early voting,  and with no "independent election oversight" at all, I haven't heard a single Republican say so much as a single word about them being rigged, or questioning the results.

You aren't surprised by that at all. Stop lying.

Trump lost Vermont, which allows mail-in voting (including early vote return by hand). And it was an open primary as well. But there's seemingly not a peep about it. That is very surprising - normally your Leader can't make it past a failed toilet-flush without whining about it at length. That doesn't surprise you? It's certainly a surprise to me.

Maybe you should stop projecting?

Haley winning VT and some guy winning AS. Although I guess the moral of that story is anyone can win a 100 vote caucus if they camp out there for a few weeks beforehand and make their campaign all about that location.

Oh, you were exclusively talking about Vermont.

Well, the boldfaced text above, plus the entire rest of the map, together provide a more-than-sufficient answer to question of why Trump supporters wouldn't feel particularly obliged to challenge the official results.

Democratic side: Some random dude winning American Samoa, “uncommitted” doing noticeably better in Minnesota than in Michigan.

Republican side: Haley winning Vermont, Trump winning Utah, Haley getting annihilated in Virginia (I figured she’d lose, but I thought that would be one of her stronger states)

Actually nothing that much other than this random guy winning in American Samoa. In addition, maybe Katie Porter doing this poorly in the California senate primary.

Will Biden lose support in Minnesota in the general because of that?

-Jeff Jackson having a bit of a scare in NC, but tbf didn't follow that much
-I'm suprised by just how poorly Katie Porter did and how well Schiff did
-How poorly Biden did in MN and it appearing to be his worst state
-Haley winning VT
-Loudon County voting so much more for Trump than Fairfax - dispells some stereotypes about both counties. I'm not suprised about how bad Haley did in VA though; I feel like too many people stereotype the type of just being full of these moderate high propensity anti-Trump Rs
-Trump winning Broomfield County in CO; generally held up better in some educated Denver suburbs than I expected
-Trumps seemingly poor performance in UT though a decent amount outstanding
-TN being Biden's best primary

Latinx voters voted Garvey that's why Schiff numbers were poor and the split vote from Porter, Schiff isn't losing to Garvey those Latinx voters that voted Garvey are coming home to Schiff.

So, Rs think Garvey did so well, HELLO, PORTER SPLIT THE VOTE ESPECIALLY IN SD and LA not so much Sac, SF and OAK, Schiff ran up the score there

Schiff should be fine in Nov no Porter and win a 52/45 victory a lesser victory than Biden over Trump in CA 55/45

Five surprises followed by a non-surprise. Most (all?) of these have shared by others already.

Porter and Lee doing that poorly (still waiting on full results)

Haley doing that poorly in VA

Jeff Jackson having a scare. Didn’t follow that race at all, but he seems like a “Nice Guy, FF”

Biden only getting 70ish in MN and losing to a literal nobody in AS

Loudoun not going for Haley

I wasn’t shocked by Haley winning. I had thought she might win it by the time yesterday rolled around.

Jeff Jackson did a video recently about a lot of dark money going to his opponent in the primary. That might have something to do with it

A significant 3rd place for TX-SEN splitting with Guttierez, Garvey trouncing Porter so easily for 2nd, and Utah County being so close for Haley.
