How would you rank El Paso County, Colorado? They are less conservative in recent years surprisingly enough.

Joe O'Dea's performance was probably the overall GOP baseline in the county in 2022, as Polis does have a bit of crossover appeal due to his liberaltarianism.
Much of the recent increase in Democratic strength here is fueled by an increasingly incompetent and insane local (and state) GOP. These are people that tried to primary out Doug Lamborn (who supported Texas v. Pennsylvania and called COVID a hoax in private) several times because they saw him as a liberal RINO. Long-term Demographic shifts and population growth aren't helping the GOP here either.

If the current R+2 (or so) environment holds until November (ie, Trump is clearly favored), it's probably still Likely R. Things become a lot more interesting however if Biden recovers.
