Considering what happened in 2020, I'm surprised candidates don't just devote a little bit of attention to American Samoa, just to avoid minor embarrassments like this. Sort of a sad commentary about our pseudo-colonial overlordship of these legacy territories from the Age of Imperialism. Most Americans don't know about them, or don't know that Puerto Rico isn't a separate country (I see lots of comments about Puerto Rican "immigrants"), and yeah idk. If we're not going to make them states much less make them independent, we should at least educate citizens to be aware that they exist. They're part of this country!

This is going to be a very meaningless thing because it drives some Biden supporters insane. They will no longer be able to claim he swept every primary unlike Trump, and every time they pull up that map there is going to be a spec of blue for Palmer. Means absolutely nothing for the general though.
I didn't know Vermont was an independent republic. Is this 1791?
You misread what they said, they acknowledged that Trump did not sweep every primary. I give you that their wording was confusing though.
Ok. Apologies then.

So Jason Palmer is now going to campaign in the Northern Mariana Islands to try to get another win. Do you all think the Biden campaign will hire some people there to prevent another embarrassing Palmer win, or do you think they won't care enough to?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Northern_Mariana_Islands_presidential_caucuses

It's worth noting that the 2020 Democratic caucus in the Northern Mariana Islands had only 134 voters, even less than the 351 voters American Samoa had that year.

Technical question - given that these people can’t vote in the GE, why do the Democrats have primaries in American Samoa, Guam etc?

I think it is very messed up that American Samoans do not have US citizenship, though from what I've read that is just as much the American Samoan government's fault as it is the US government's, as the American Samoan government has opposed it's residents getting full US citizenship.

Will Palmer the Great really campaign there, or is he merely going to "campaign" there?
Contrary to the rumors spread during his media blitz, he has never visited American Samoa; he only remotely attended town hall meetings via Zoom.

I think this is evidence that the "Just Lie, nobody cares" strategy can get you much further than commonly assumed,

making Joe Biden the first president to lose a primary contest since 1980

I don’t know why people keep repeating this when it isn’t true Bill Clinton lost North Dakota to some random dude and lost Michigan to “uncommitted” in 1996

So are the Democratic National Committee going to Lyndon LaRouche him and find some technicality so he doesn't have his delegates at the Convention?

If the Democratic Party believes in democracy after all, he should have his delegates unheeded. He won them.
Why would the DNC care enough about like 6 deglates to put an effort into blocking them? Biden has at least 99 percent of the delegates, he's fine.
give him a speaking role

I don't think the Biden campaign really cares honestly. He's about to clinch the nominee anyway and he already lost a contest anyway, losing another territory doesn't make a difference at this point. Your better off focusing on Trump than fighting against this random Palmer guy for 1 or 2 delegates.
