Animals can do a lot to help humanize people, especially if it's interacting with something cute like a dog, cat, or capybara.

Why don't Trump and Biden try to be around animals more when they go out in public. In the case of Biden, I could see him walking a dog and playing with it as a way to help combat the age narrative as well since dogs tend to be associated with playfulness and vitality.

Nearly 2/3rds of Americans have a pet in their household, so it could also be a way to help relate to large swaths of the American public.

No, being with animals more won't singlehandedly change either of their images, but it does seem like the sort of thing that could have a subtle marginal impact.

Trump pretty famously dislikes animals and the lack of pets in his White House was notable.

You might find this reddit thread interesting. But it was basically suggesting Dems should open a bunch of donkey petting zoos across the country to gain postive sentiment to their party. And it would be harder for the GOP to replicate since elephants are much bigger, more expensive, and have stricter laws about them.

Trump doesn’t like animals, and Brandon’s animals don’t like people.

Trump doesn't have enough empathy to own a pet and Biden's dogs keep biting people

Where is the proof in this?

Trump will have multiple rank and file GOP lapdogs jumping the trail for him. Don't worry.

Riding a donkey could work for other dem candidates, but it wouldn't work for Biden...

Trump doesn't know how to love anyone or anything--except himself and his money.
