The last 2 elections were decided by 77k and 43k votes, respectively. It's widely assumed 2024 will be another close one. But will the outcome in the EC once again be decided by a margin fewer than 100k votes?

What does Atlas think? I voted Yes.

I voted No.

It's certainly possivle that it is extremely close again. But Trump is an awful candidate, abd Biden is a brittle one.

If Biden has a personal health crisis that hurts him badly, likewise if there is a domestic or foreign crisis he fails to resolve decisively. In those cases, Trump (or the R nominee) likely wins by a solid margin (with terrible consequences).

But if Biden doesn't collapse, he probably has a solid win against a Trump dragged down by his own failures.

Or that it was decided on February 28, 2024 by four votes.
