Trump Promises ‘Mass Deportations’ of Undocumented Migrants and ‘Immunity’ for Cops Who ‘Get Them Out’
Quote
“Given the fact that no foreign national has a right to be here in the United States, will you order mass deportations if you win the White House?” host Chris Salcedo asked the GOP frontrunner.

“Oh, day one. We have no choice. And we’ll start with the bad ones. And you know who knows who they are: local police. Local police have to be given back their authority, and they have to be given back their respect and immunity. We’re going to give them immunity,” Trump added. Notably, the federal government has little influence over local police.

“And they know them by their first name, the middle name, and the last name, and they will take them out and they will, we will get about. And look, this is not sustainable by any country, even if they weren’t as bad as they are. This is not sustainable by any country. We probably have, I think I heard your numbers, I think you probably have 15 million in actually, which is more than your numbers, and I think that number could reach 20 million people by the time this guy gets out.”

I will say this. A lot of people who vote for Trump are going to be shocked when their Uncle Julio gets deported.

In 2016 this was considered extreme, in 2024 the average American probably thinks this is too lenient after the invasion on the border.

A lot of people agree with the right on the border and the asylum system, but that’s not the same as illegals who came earlier without claiming asylum and are working.

They’re also gonna be shocked when all sorts of businesses that have undocumented workers collapse. Honestly, if you tried to deport all of them, I bet you’d cause a recession.

A lot of people who think the border should be closed completely won't be okay with ICE, or even local police, going door to door looking for illegals to deport.

It's impossible to conduct mass deportations without a massive amount of funding that pretty much has to be unlimited. Not to mention that undocumented immigrants often move around a lot so the police could end up kicking in the wrong doors and bothering people who haven't done anything wrong. Local police don't have the resources to do this anyway as the budgets are quite tight most places.

But it is quite possible to create a reign of terror, where bands of men with guns operating completely outside the law target people for their names (or for their criticism of Donald Trump, or anything else the local MAGATs get riled up about) and "take them out". And that's the future for America Donald Trump is describing.
