India is viewed as a rising power and has recently had noticably worse relations with China as well as testy relations with some entities such as the Canadian government. India has also been probably the biggest beneficiary of the developments that have followed Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, lending credence to it being followed more closely as a key powerbroker in world affairs.
How do you think the United States should approach relations with India?

Alliance : We should not form a formal alliance with them as interests don’t align that much for this to take place . We rather should just have a transactional anti CCP partnership as the CCP is a threat to both our hegemony and all of its neighbors and India is one of its neighbors.

India/Pakistan: We should stay out unless intervening would help undermine the CCP (which I am skeptical this would do that ) or India becomes anti Russia as well(which I highly doubt).

Trade : we should not do a multilateral trade as :

- They are much harder to enforce and given the difference between labor standards , we’d have to enforce a trade agreement with India for a trade deal to work

- While it is better for goods to be manufactured in India than China(and same is true in most other nations as well) , critical Industries should be reshored here such as Semi Conductors , Steel, etc. with a bilateral deal it’s way easier for this to happen .
