If he isn't convicted before the election, the only chance he gets convicted of anything will be in Georgia. Trump will shutdown all the federal cases against him.

What happens if the President-Elect is on trial in between November and January 2025?

I don't think people realize how shockingly small of a story Trump's legal problems are. Anyone who knows about them in the first place already knows who they're voting for. No effect.

I really couldn't disagree more with this.  I don't care who the candidate is, there is an enormous difference between a candidate with unresolved "legal problems" and a candidate who is literally playing out his last days sitting in a federal prison cell.

Of course, but it doesn't seem like very many people are even aware that he's facing all this legal jeopardy. I never bought that he was going to jail anyway, so it doesn't seem any different to me.
