Tasmanian State Election, 23rd March

(1/7) > >>

AustralianSwingVoter:
Premier Jeremy Rockliff has finally forced the inevitable early election since losing his majority last year to defections.

The House of Assembly has been increased in size back to 35 members, as it was before 1998 when seats were cut mainly to screw over the Greens. With the 5 existing electorates electing 7 members, the increase is expected to greatly benefit the crossbench thanks to the lower quota.

No polling has been conducted since last December, with the most recent ERMS poll being Labor 39, Liberal 29, Greens 12 Other/Undecided 19.

Lachi:
We should be getting an ERMS poll sometime soon thankfully, so we'll have a better picture of how everything has shifted.
Also on a personal note, of course it's happening on Grand Prix weekend lmao, got a very busy Saturday ahead of me there indeed.

DL:
If I'm not mistaken, isnt Tasmania now the only jurisdiction in all of Australia that is not run by the Labor Party?
