I know missionaries to India that tell me otherwise.  They are in India now.  Whether Modi or another government would be more tolerant I could not say.

Israel has even stricter laws on conversion than India thought and Netanyahu’s government tried to go even further on that but his efforts failed .


Also stuff like this has gone on for a while and actually declined under Modi as their has been generally more law and order brought to rural areas which is why so many Christians have voted for his party ever since he became leader

I think Modi is arguably worse or at least scarier because he’s so popular in his country, unlike Bibi who will likely be kicked out after this war and maybe, just might finally go to prison.
