Running on banning football would be a good way to never win an election
Might be the policy of some fringe-right party tied to some Protestant denomination that thinks the sport is "sinful", but they are the only group that might even try.

If you think any threat to the future of tackle football in the next couple of decades is going to come from the political right, you are even sillier and more deranged than I thought.
I wasn't talking about some mainstream right wing sect, but someone like the snake-handlers if they ran a fringe party.
I mean, it wasn't liberals complaining about Taylor Swift at the superbowl.

I can imagine the Prohibition Party supporting the idea.

The Prohibition Party has moved dramatically to the left in recent years and recently became explicitly pro-choice.
