He was alright I guess, so a B-. He needs to do more such appearanced and go into attack mode against Trump and the GOP. That helps to counter the narrative he's over his head and incapable of serving as prez.

That said, I think most people rate it the way they view Biden in general.

The guy holds press conference to be angry about questions on his memory, proceeds to confuse presidents of mexico and egypt lol and some echo chamber partisan democrat is going to give him an A. You deserve Biden as a nominee

He seems to be getting worse.

Just the dysfunctional physicality of his walking style is reflecting the motor-neuron response in his brain ageing very rapidly.

I don't have any problems with the guy as a human being.

But the most powerful job in the World needs a more astute and eloquent leader.

Trump is vulnerable here. Might be time to swap Biden out in May or June.

The people who are most upset about him doing that somehow are never upset when Donald Trump consistently makes mistakes in public. Funny how that is!

Of course a bunch of virgin autists don't understand how this plays with Real Americans.

Indeed. There's no way that as many as a third or so (based on these poll results so far) of Real Americans would rate this as a C or above. I also note that about 80% of the actual posts in this thread are positive (or at least not negative) about it. The most negative post is from a blue avatar who clearly endorses Trump in their sig.

Lol "Real Americans". People throw around that phrase to narrow "Americans" down to a group that supports their opinion.

Sure, Atlas is not representative of America, but that doesn't make us not real americans.

Plenty of Atlas, including Mr. Dark Brandon, judging by his Ontario avatar, is straight up not American though lol.

Ratio of Trump's mistakes vs Biden's is like 1:10 and people agree, which you can see in the polls. Only Dem partisans disagree, wonder why's that. I mean watching 5mins of Morning Joe this morning is one of the most pathetic things I ever saw. But that's the show Biden watches every morning, so it all makes sense really.

But good luck with Biden as a nominee.

LOL, it's not 1:10. Trump barely talks in coherant sentences and is a pathological liar. Not to mention he lacks basic knowledge of history and science. The dude thinks windmills cause cancer, airplanes were around in George Washington's time and he's running against Obama. Not that Biden should get a free pass since Trump gaffes as well, just put it in perspective.

Maybe it's not 1:10 but it's 1:5 at least. Lying part has nothing to do with it just like his political positions have nothing to do with it, we're talking about mental fitness. Trump's rallies do become ramblings at some point because he skips from topic to topic and yes, he lies, but he speaks for one and a half hour sometimes. Given how much he says in regards to Biden, this ratio could only be worse for Biden.

But don't believe me, believe what people say in the polls, who has more stamina, who is more energetic, who is more mentally fit. Media has made a big deal from Pelosi Haley gaffe, if they would do that for Biden like this Sisi thing, that would be only thing they would ever talk about.

Trump's already paid the political price for being incoherent and insane. He would easily be President right now if Democrats weren't able to effectively message that he is incoherent and insane. However the political price Trump is paying for that behaves asymptotically. He has been pushing on that limit for years. I do think he is somewhat weaker for the sprinkling of age-related mishaps he has but there's just not much more juice left to squeeze for Democrats on this one.

I mean what is the counterfactual? If Trump was normal and coherent he'd have been an extremely popular President and sailed to reelection. People thought everything was great in their day-to-day lives before COVID. The fact that he was so unpopular despite that is a testament to the fact that Trump has been punished and will continue to be punished for being nuts.

Utter disaster and a complete public humiliation.

Get the F—K out, NOW, you silly, stupid old man!

Your pathetic ego is endangering the livelihoods and futures of hundreds of millions of people! Not only here, but around the globe! A Trumpist “America First” world is fundamentally less safe for freedom and democracy EVERYWHERE. This is NOT a risk we can afford as a SPECIES to take or f—k around with in any way! It’s not like you’re up against Bob Dole man!

Reminds me of when Brett Favre threw that reckless pick to seal the NFC Championship game for the Saints, and the announcers screamed “This is NOT Detroit, man! This is the Super Bowl!” The stakes are too high to f—k around any longer. Period.

This is the thing - the narrative went from completely about the report itself to "Biden slams special counsel" - that was clearly what he and his team were going for to mitigate complete discussion over the report, rightly or wrongly

I beg to differ. I thought that was a good press conference, and so will most people. I genuinely think it could help Biden in the sense of sympathy, especially when he brought up Beau. Don’t underestimate how sympathy can affect politics, it’s why Fetterman wasn’t DOA after the debate or why Bernie bounced back after a heart attack.

We can disagree on Biden’s chances but I’m not wrong here. Oh and honestly I think Biden had every right to be angry, wouldn’t you if someone claimed you forgot the death of a family member?

Obviously though this time next week we’ll all be talking about something completely different

You are so disrespectful. This is the President of the United States, an elder statesman, and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

I’m sick of your schtick. Biden isn’t dropping out but I’m certainly putting you on ignore.

So, here’s the thing. Biden may be old and his memory isn’t great, but he’s also been an effective president and is right on the issues I care about.

That’s enough for me and I think it’ll be enough for most Dems and anti Trump voters. They just have to turn out.

Even though I disagree with his premise I wouldn’t call Alben disrespectful, just worried like people on both sides are about this election.

Do you truly believe this? Recall your reaction to a Facebook post from a 1980s actor yesterday (a post that had nothing to do with politics):
This s—t had me almost running to switch my voter registration to Republican and vote for Trump halfway through reading it.

That would be their problem. They sometimes try to be "objective" but that's far from the truth.
