Agreed Trump is way worse but willful retention & disclosure is pretty bad. I was under the assumption it was all accidental. Maybe we'll learn more as they go through the details of the report.

Biden is pushing back on this, saying the media has mischaracterized what the SC found. There are certainly passages in the report that say he didn't willfully retain this or there isn't evidence he willfully retained that. I don't know what the truth of it is.

Biden says he takes responsibility for not having seen what his staff was doing, moving things in and out of his home.

He's pushing back hard on the memory issue.

He says he did not share classified information with his ghost writer.

He just said he convinced the President of Mexico to allow humanitarian assistance into Gaza. oops.

It's clear what he meant. Its very telling the people who literally are only focusing on that from the entire press conference.

I think Biden was obviously pissed about the Beau stuff, but the calculus was to change the narrative. Now it's moreso 'Biden hits back' than anything else.

I understand what he meant but it does little to disprove the fitness  narrative. This is the third time he’s done this in recent memory - do you really expect people to ignore that? My point is that Democrats would’ve been better off with a younger nominee and now they are stuck with this guy, who has a low approval and little charisma and is now also receiving tons of press coverage about how “senile” he is.

I also note that about 80% of the actual posts in this thread are positive (or at least not negative) about it. The most negative post is from a blue avatar who clearly endorses Trump in their sig.

B. He's old, but he doesn't seem anywhere as out of it as many posts on here would suggests. It may not always come out gracefully, but you can clearly understand what he is saying and Biden also seems to understand what he's saying based on his response to questions.

Biden almost never holds press conferences, he just gave life to the story, a big mistake.

On the thing itself he did relatevily ok on the scripted part, but completely lost it when he did a u-turn in the middle of the room to return to the podium to mix Egypt with Mexico on the Gaza war.

You can't claim your memory is great and do that within the same event.
