They haven't even bothered to contest the Delegate seat in nearly 10 years which is the longest they've left it uncontested in 30 years so it's not surprising the caucus is lackluster. The GOP actual won the delegate seat once with Melvin Evans in 1978 but lost it the next cycle. They haven't contested the Governor's seat since 2002 when they came in fourth behind independents and I don't think they have any legislative seats.

He probably would have still won, but he denying Haley a single delegate is a powerful statement.
