Exactly, and he has a demonstrated history of changing his mind about things seemingly on a whim anyway. Tomorrow he could come out and say that Tim Scott was very mean to the police that one time he talked about being racially profiled and we love our police, don't we folks? 1-Random staffers or claims of "leaks" about this, meaning they are meaningless.
2-The claim came from Trump himself, in which case it's also absolutely meaningless, just as anything he says.
