https://www.cbsnews.com/news/robert-f-kennedy-jr-libertarian-ballot-access/

He seems to be considering this due to difficulties with ballot access. I'm not sure if he will or not. On the one hand, a lot of his economic views seem to go against the principles of libertarianism, but on the other, he and the party both seem to need each other if they want the best shot in November. What do you think?

It would actually be better than him running as yet another third party candidate in addition to the usual ones. Well, better as far as being a Biden supporter goes.

The article says that RFK Jr already has two political parties. Why would he need a third?

Oliver is more likely to get the nomination.

The Libertarians have a lot more money than either of those two parties, which were both created by the campaign and likely don't have more than one member: RFK himself.

He wants it because it would solve his ballot access issues but there's no chance. His talk with MiCauc boss Dave Smith did not go according to plan
