An interesting article about how even Trump’s biggest boosters are having trouble squaring Trump’s economic pessimism with a strong economy. It makes sense why many Republicans are now shifting their attention to the border.

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/02/02/trump-and-his-allies-adjust-their-messaging-on-the-economy-as-it-steadily-improves-00139447

But now, with the risk of a recession seeming to recede, even Trump’s close allies acknowledge it’s getting tough to tell voters a bleak story about the economy. And though far from certain, it’s now possible that the nation’s economic health could become an electoral asset for Biden in an unexpected way.

“I think that is the question of the day,” said Stephen Moore, a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation and an economist with FreedomWorks who is close to the Trump campaign. “You can’t blame the president when policies go wrong, and then say he’s not responsible if things are going right.”

Trump's currently flopping on all cylinders. He can't rail on an economy that's good now, and if he keeps up his immigration stance of torpedoing any progress, even one that Senate Republicans want to happen, then he loses 2 of his key "issues"

There is pessimistic blk unemployment is 6 not 3 percent but it's based on Reparations that's Rs don't want not based on unemployment and there was no deficit hawks when MN gave George Floyd family 33 M

The Rs wantta have it both ways say the economy is terrible but keep giving tax cuts, the message of Floyd we didn't get choke hold ban, but they opened a can of worms. By giving George Floyd so much money they got blks motivated to vote D for Reparations

Ever since George Floyd they keep saying blk leaders blks deserve reparationss

You can't explain to blks people now you give Floyd family 33 M and don't give blks reparations

As I say an inc at 45/55 Approvals in a Pandemic era is pretty good, in a 2015 scenario where Obama and Hillary stood it's disasterous, Pbower already said that 45 is like being at ,50
