Write-in votes

(1/1)

homelycooking:
Hello, I haven't posted here in a while, but I know there are a few people on this site who are serious researchers and archivists of election results, so I wanted to give this question a shot.

Do you know of any jurisdictions - states, counties, or towns (in New England) - which regularly publish exhaustive lists of the candidates, real or fictional, who receive write in votes? Is there a compendium of these somewhere? For example, while the state of Massachusetts does not list all write-ins, the city of Westfield does, listing votes received by political figures like Bernie Sanders and Kanye West as well as frivolous write-ins like Deez Nutz and Vanilla Ice. If it's possible to get these lists for even a few counties around the country, I'd be interested in doing some analysis. (I'm especially interested in abstentionist write-ins like "NOTA" or "None of these candidates").

Thanks in advance. If someone has already done such analysis, please direct me to it.

Identified jurisdictions with write-in breakdowns:

New Hampshire (10+ write-ins only)
Rhode Island (5+ write-ins only)
Vermont

Linn County, IA
Westfield City, MA
Bergen County, NJ
Camden County, NJ
Cape May County, NJ
Salem County, NJ
Wake County, NC

RI:
Doesn't Vermont usually publish all of them? I'm not 100% sure if they report fictional names or not.

Thanks RI, I was hoping you'd see this. If you encounter any others, please make a note for us here.

Did anyone save the 2016 and 2020 Vermont write-in lists? They reorganized their site and I can't find those links anymore. (I've also inquired of the VT SOS.)

Theoretically it should be possible to get write-in lists from every county in states that don't require registration for write-in candidates, like IA and NJ. But I'm sure most jurisdictions don't bother with it.

RI:
I don't see it online, but I have a copy of the 2020 VT full results by town for President saved. I've uploaded it here.
