Gillibrand leads Cuomo 49% to 25%

Pollster is: "American Pulse Research & Polling" commissioned by "Save the Senate(R)"

As a newcomer to this forum I'm not sure what board this belongs to, so I'm posting it here.

Heavy grain of salt with this but if there's any truth to this whatsoever, New York City gets what they deserve. The Yankees and Mets are perfect emblems of the kind of mediocrity that city has come to expect.

Cuomo said he'll only run without Adams in the race though? That said, it would be beyond hilarious for him to return to the political stage. Even if NYC mayor is a lower office than Albany.

Cumo would be a major improvement on Adams so seems completely unable to do anything and is literally a foreign agent for Turkey.

Blown away that even against Adams and with an early poll that primarily measures name recognition that Cuomo would have that level of support. Hopefully if he actually tosses his hat in the ring other good candidates will push him aside.

Garcia should run again. She was already within a percent last time and if New Yorkers really want a new mayor and Cuomo is the only other option, it should be a cakewalk for her.

Any constituency that again votes for this creep probably deserves so.

Still, I doubt he'd win a primary. The only thing Cuomo has going for him is a huge war chest of several million dollars left from his previous elections.

I would wholeheartedly first preference Gillibrand and third preference Cuomo over Adams.

Bill Clinton vs Lyndon LaRouche in the 1996 Democratic primary was an absolutely terrible choice.

If we get Cuomo v. Adams the DNC should initiate a full-scale Stalinist-style purge of the New York Democratic Party.

Just rally around an alternate candidate. There will for sure be more options in 2025.

Pretending that Bill Clinton was even close to as bad as a literal cult leader is a new level of ridiculousness even for you.

Cuomo still has a team of cronies, including some leaders of black churches as well. They were responsible for crushing Tish James's run in 2022. So even if he doesn't run, he is more than happy to just sabotage people he doesn't like.

It looks like New Yorkers have finally come to terms with the fact that electing a good mayor just isn't something they care much about.

New Yorkers care a lot about our city, but some of the most major things people care about (subways and housing, for example) the mayor has little actual power over. NYC lost a lot of its power in the 70s and most of what mayors do is shuffle around their buddies for political appointments, lose political fights with cops and prison guards, and administer austerity. So who wants that job or could even be that good at it?

The thing about the Cuomos is that they are pathological liars and plain terrible people. Our own Prince Andrew is trying to look good by claiming he will stand by Adams, but you better be sure he will jump at the opportunity to get a foothold back into political power. It's like crack for these authoritarians.

Did Lyndon LaRouche ever rape anyone?
