Like, this is pretty insane. Zimmerman won Queens by 4, and Biden 19. Suozzi outperforming both of them right now.

God the Twitter commentariat meltdown (*cough* Ettingermentum *cough*) is going to be glorious.

Was he predicting a GOP victory? I muted him a while ago.
On that note do you have SnowLabrador on ignore?

It was called nearly an hour ago.

Anyway this race is long past over. Seems like good news for the Dems. It suggests that polling error may be the main reason why Biden is polling poorly, so Biden still has a good shot of winning in November.

Well, I'll admit to being wrong this time. I guess there'll be record ticket-splitting in November.

Don't worry, the high-propensity Trump voters in November will flip this seat back to the GOP (and cause Biden to lose in a historic landslide).

My Dave Wasserman senses are tingling, I can feel a call coming from him very soon.

Who would've thought Queens would basically entirely report before Nassau did anything

No, that's just your plagiarism of Wasserman's style. Neither he or anyone else serious has called it.

Hopefully NYC Dems finally learned their lesson. Not a single vote should be taken for granted.

Gee, who would've thought Democrats organizing and making an effort would continue the party's win streak in elections?

I know it's still early, but come on!

Looks like Suozzi is headed for a comfortable win, but there was expected to be a huge Santos penalty.

NYT now up to 2.4k TV (52-48 D)... so Benjamin's question still stands where they are getting these numbers from.

They probably are calling the Board of Elections and getting numbers before they are posted. I know that some press outlets do that.

Are we just assuming Nassau will vote for Pilip as a whole or could Suozzi narrowly carry it?

It's possible; Santos won it by 10 in 2022.

Suozzi just lost 0.3% in the 10 seconds I was on the NYT results page. If we conservatively assume that was an unlikely fluke, and that he only loses that much every 30 seconds, we can still see that before the end of the night he'll be reduced to ~-25% of the vote. It's over.
