While I do appreciate the sponsor being willing to include an increase in suicide prevention resources, you can go even further by removing the prohibition of gender affirming care for youth, which reduces the risk of suicide by 73%. If your goal is reducing suicide rates, that's a strong step forward. Vote Aye on DKrol's amendment if you haven't already.

For reference, the current bill.

Quote
The Protect Children's Mental Health Act

To protect the mental health of children

1. The regional government of Lincoln shall allocate to every school district within the region a $500,000 grant for the school district to invest into anti-bullying and suicide prevention resources for all students.
2. This bill shall take effect the day after it is either signed into law by the governor, or the governor's veto is overridden.

Aye, although I'm disappointed over 80% of my bill was cut out, it's still a good bill.

Bill passed 3-0-0-1. Mechalord's vote was 3 minutes late, unfortunately. This will be sent to the governor.
