He absolutely does. If anything, it seems like his defining characteristic.

So why hasn't anyone used it as a nickname for him? You literally just add an R (for Republican, I suppose) to his name and he literally spells it out.

I don't know about 'smarmy'. Even though I think he's full of BS, I don't find him nearly as personally repellent as, say, Trump, Tucker, or Ted Cruz, all of whom leak insincerity constantly and at high volume.

That said, he seems to be archtypical high-energy tech-bro management, of the scammy hard-sell type that promise the sun, moon and stars while calling them all "the planets".  (I.e. sound very confident and throw around a lot of buzzowords they only vaguely understand, trusting that the people they're talking to understand even less.) Personally, I consider such people a warning sign that you should back away slowly and calmly, while talking in a loud but polite voice, then never have anything to do with their company again.
