I really don't think Rob lost. He beat low expectations by not wearing a swastika on his arm or something, and by not sounding like the world's biggest idiot (that was Ramaswamy). As I said, he successfully avoided drawing fire and any major attacks or controversies, and threw out some red meat to the base. He didn't help himself drastically but didn't hurt himself either.

Tim Scott, by being an utterly forgettable dud who failed to live up to his always-unjustified hype, is a much better contender for loser.

I want to say Ramaswamy because there was next to no substance to anything he said, just a bunch of generic GOP slogans and talking points strung together, and because Christie and Haley both landed solid attacks on him. Since he did get a lot of attention focused on him, though, I guess I can't say he was the clear loser.

So I'm going for Burgum and Hutchinson given they didn't really stand out much tonight.

Ramaswamy started off well but ended up on the receiving end of damaging attacks from Haley and Christie and got into an argument with Pence and the audience wound up booing him by the end.
