Least memorable was Asa Hutchinson. He needed to stand out tonight and completely failed.

Hutchinson and Burgum won't be at the next debate and they di nothing to change that. I picked Hutchinson, he was probably the worst anti Trump lane candidate

1. DeSantis. He’s going to be polling 4th after today.

2. Pence. Went after Vivek multiple times, only to get his behind handed to him, for starters.

3. Hutchinson. Was somehow even LESS social than Meatball Ron, which is a feat.

Mexico is getting invaded, so... Mexicans.

Also the female debate moderator for asking the UFO question... and Christie for having to answer it.

DeSantis. I don't see how the guy in a distant second place being a complete non-factor can possibly be a good thing.

I really don't think Rob lost. He beat low expectations by not wearing a swastika on his arm or something, and by not sounding like the world's biggest idiot (that was Ramaswamy). As I said, he successfully avoided drawing fire and any major attacks or controversies, and threw out some red meat to the base. He didn't help himself drastically but didn't hurt himself either.

Tim Scott, by being an utterly forgettable dud who failed to live up to his always-unjustified hype, is a much better contender for loser.

I feel like it was Tim Scott he didnt have any memorable moments. He also didnt do anything to make himself a viable mainline conservative option over DeSantis and well now Haley either.

In conventional terms, Hutchinson followed by Scott and then Burgum. All three failed to stand out.

Ramaswamy came across as unhinged, but I don't know if that will hurt or help him.

Overall, the Republican Party and the American people, because the odds of a remotely legitimate or sane GOP nominee went down.

I hope a more respectable GOP figure steps forward after this. Not that they’ll win, but it’d be nice to actually see a serious person enter the race.

Vivek is running for Trump's VP so he doesn't count unless Trump dies

I want to say Ramaswamy because there was next to no substance to anything he said, just a bunch of generic GOP slogans and talking points strung together, and because Christie and Haley both landed solid attacks on him. Since he did get a lot of attention focused on him, though, I guess I can't say he was the clear loser.

So I'm going for Burgum and Hutchinson given they didn't really stand out much tonight.

Ramaswamy started off well but ended up on the receiving end of damaging attacks from Haley and Christie and got into an argument with Pence and the audience wound up booing him by the end.

Burgum stood out in opposing a national abortion ban.

This is true.
I think the "small town", anti-federal government message he used could work well, if it gets the airtime it needs.

True, that's a good point. I don't know why I overlooked that. He definitely gave the smartest answer to that question from a GOP perspective, imo.

Can’t agree with the poll on DeSantis. He did fine except the one weird smile. His problems are separate from tonight.

Even if Trump died today, he'd still be the nominee.
