Which is exactly why many people will be tuning in. Watching dumb people say dumb things on tv is our national pastime.

Holy sh*t it's not starting until 9 pm?! I have to get up early tomorrow, no way will I be watching the whole thing live. We've really got to do something about these start times. Democrats did the same sh*t.

Might be the networks, after all the hand size comparisons in 2015/16 they don't want advertisers to run away.

Pretty big gamble for Trump here — if someone emerges formidable after tonight, he’ll look weak for not attending and then later wanting to attend. The indictments only make matters worse for him.

Burgum will dominate. Keep an eye on the post-debate polls, he'll be leading in most of them.

I just put in my pizza order, to arrive at 9:15.

Enjoy the party.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow as Europe is eight hours ahead of the East Coast.

Nope.  The UK is 5 hours ahead, CET is 6 hours ahead, and EET is 7 hours ahead.  It would still be very lately to stay up for, though. Wink

Over/under on the number of times the word "woke" is said? Bonus: what percent of them come from DeSantis alone?

Early prediction: there will be no less than 10 op-eds from people who think they’re being clever by saying Trump won the debate.

Download VLC and use IPTV by following the steps on this GitHub if you have no qualms about piracy. https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv

I'll pull a Trump and skip this clown show. Drink every time you hear the word "woke". Wait...you might die.

Yes. Tonight will be the first real taste for many of a 'post-Trump' field, and there could grow to be more of an appetite over time if Trump still appears distant and hobbled.

Isn't he not showing up because of sports injury

He's showing up, the only question is whether he'll be able to stand at the podium.

Spent 35 minutes watching some pre-debate coverage on Rumble. Naturally, many of the people in chat were rabid Trump supporters (and I say this with respect to their disinterest in a real conversation - I know many Trump supporters are perfectly good people). Saw a lot of in-fighting between GOP loyalists (who pledge to support GOP nominee regardless of who it is) and Trump patriots.

I have to say, from an outside perspective (someone who will not be voting either Trump or Biden), the fact that some of these people seem utterly unwilling to engage in dialogue with someone from even a nearby opposing side (saw a lot of arguing between Vivek supporters and Trump supporters) is disturbing.
