I can totally see Christie blasting Trump as a coward, and for that matter the other candidates on the debate stage as cowards for not joining him in doing so.

I DON'T really see the other candidates jumping on Trump, except MAYBE Pence.

It's just totally wild to me that we have an actual presidential election where nobody is attacking the frontrunner, and he's not an incumbent!

DeSantis already said on record that Trump should be there because “he should have to work for the nomination” (or something like that)

Hutchinson if he makes it. Maybe Perry Johnson? I haven't hear anything from him. Otherwise, no.

Not directly, but I think it's totally possible to have cowardly indirect sniping about it from people who are on the stage who'd never dare criticize Trump directly.

I could see Haley saying that the American people deserve someone with the youth and vigor to debate as part of her "generational" argument that she pretends is aimed at Biden but is really about casting shade on the almost-equally elderly Trump. If she's called on it she could say she's hitting Biden.

Is Christie even going to the debate? I thought he had refused to sign the loyalty pledge.

He most recently claimed it hasn't been presented to him yet.

Honestly the pledge is a joke anyway. It's like the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. I'd sign it with full intent of breaking it anyway if I were him. What is the RNC gonna do about it? Arrest him?

Pence might, not holding my breath for it, but I won't count out either.
