As inept as he’s been so far, it’s still somehow alarming that he seems to be setting himself to manage to lose a debate to Vivek Ramaswamy.

If he comes at Chris Christie with those talking points we'll get to see Christie roast an overhyped Floridian again too.

Every time you think it can't get any worse for this guy, he proves that it can. And don't blame his advisers anymore. He's the candidate and the bucks stops with him.

What all these enablers don't get is that you can't beat someone if you don't go after them the slightest bit. Doesn't even have to be on most policy issues and his ethical/legal problems (although that's a ton), you could also argue that Trump objectively has ineffective in getting transformative policies done and that he won the Republicans nothing after 2016. Lost the House, the presidency and the senate and dragged a lot of statewide candidates down while they just barely retook the House. You could simply attack Trump for being a loser.

I simply don’t get why so many of these donor funded candidates turn into super robotic and super overly calculating when they go on the national stage . Like how many times has it been shown that that strategy does not win elections anymore and in fact has backfired for almost everyone who has tried (Romney in 12, Countless amount of GOPers in 16, So many Dems in 2020 other than like Biden and Bernie). Like it simply does not work anymore , and really any consultant who gives this advice should be instantly fired from their positions because it’s proven that advice is completely horrible .

Like Trump himself should prove this theory wrong because prior to 2015 , Republicans were similarly always afraid to directly go after the Bush legacy because he was viewed as this super popular figure among voters . Then Trump attacked his legacy even in areas that conventional wisdom would say would end any Republican’s political career and it in fact did the opposite. 8 years before that Obama was able to do that with the Clintons .

You forgot to list the biggest example of failure due to listening to dumbass robotic "strategy:" Hillary listening to untested millennial Robby Mook over her two-time landslide-winning husband and his own lead strategist. Bill and Carville wanted her on the ground in states like Wisconsin. Mook "calculated" the rust belt was already in the bag and only wanted to run up the score, ignoring the changing political winds which put the rust belt in play entirely.
I'll never forget how the campaign diverted resources from Rust Belt battlegrounds at the last minute to juice turnout in Chicago and New Orleans. Thank you Hillary!

It does seem like we've had a lot of robotic general election losers in recent years. Dole, Gore, Kerry, Romney, and Hillary. Only McCain and Trump lost despite not being a robot.

This is what his Super PAC thinks he should do, not something he or his campaign came up with. So he found out about this the same time we did.

I am "2016" and I approve this Debate Strategy

Ramaswamy pitched himself as a candidate who could make serious waves in the Republican primary at the meeting. When met with some skepticism, Ramaswamy argued that his candidacy could also dissuade Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis from entering the race, according to a source who was on the call. In the lead-up to his announcement, Ramaswamy would tell several other conservative activists that he believed that if he ran, it could stop DeSantis from running or impact his viability as a candidate if he did enter the race, sources said.

Clearly Vivek is a Trump Plant trying to sabotage DeSantis.

Vivek, you will be carpet bombed out of this Race on Wednesday.

Yeah, I'm sure that will convince people.

DeSantis doesn't need Vivek to sabotage him, he does it himself every time he appears in front of a camera.

The whole reason he’s going down in the polls is because he refuses to attack Trump. If he would just attack Trump the way he’s attacking Biden I guarantee he’d be much closer to Trump in the polls. Ted Cruz in 2016 went after Trump. While he didn’t win, he was competitive for a while. DeSantis should be attacking Trump and explaining why his ideas are better but he’s not and instead he’s basically pretending that he’s running against Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump.

As a DeSantis supporter it’s really annoying to watch.

Well to be an authentic, charming, charismatic candidate, it helps to be an authentic, charming, charismatic person, and uh…
