Is it just me, or does it look weirdly distorted on the right side? Maybe it's just the angle of the lighting.

All the mugshots have had the lighting coming from the defendant's left, which does cause some distortion.

It was posted on twitter like half an hour prior to CNN getting it, but everyone thought it was fake initially until CNN confirmed it, because it just didn't seem plausible that he would frown that much. What a horrible picture OMG.

I'm no expert but it's the angle seems a bit odd, I assumed they would be pretty strict about getting a straight-on shot. 

OTOH, I can't imagine there's too many pics of Trump from that specific angle with that specific expression.

They're very unlikely to change that. Height is usually measured behind the booking photo but isn't in this case, and at least Trump is in fact about six three. But they don't have a scale there like at a doctor's office to confirm and they're not about to change it or challenge it unless some defendant reports something that is vastly obviously different by magnitudes. Though admittedly Trump's typical understatement of his weight here comes close.

I think it's like a driver's license: it doesn't need to be exact down to the pound or inch.  

My license says 5'9" and...well, less pounds than I weigh now.  Both are WAYYY off.

Everyone was talking about how this would be a merch goldmine for him, but there’s no way they can sell merch with the photo as is. It looks HORRIBLE. Might need a little yassification before it hits the t shirt presses.

I have noticed in the last year or so in candid photos of Trump that he's looking much older.  Teflon Don or not, the accumulating stress of these legal problems has to be wearing him down.
