Interesting. So I see 3 possible futures for Mr. Smirnov:

1) He's going to jail.
2) Trump becomes President again and pardons him.
3) He manages to flee to Russia prior to trial like Tara Reade.

Apparently he is under arrest now, so hopefully he is not allowed out and is kept under constant watch, or else he will probably be exfiltrated back to Russia by his handlers.

The only specific allegation of illegal acts I have ever heard of against him is that he and his father allegedly demanded $5 million bribes from Burisma to "make problems go away", which.....this Smirnov guy is now being charged with fabricating at the direction of his Russian handlers.

Just truly amazing that all of the breathless coverage about Hunter Biden was 80% (outside of the tax stuff) just a complete hoax. Like others have said, for all of the coverage that he got, this will only get a fraction of it, unfortunately.
