All speeches and PMs will have to be in by the time stated in the thread title.

Also, because of Gabu's activities, I have decided to place a ceiling on how much influence someone can effect in one turn.  Just so that you guys won't feel too intimidated to answer questions or make speeches.  Sorry, but I am getting a few "woah, I can't compares" and I don't want you guys to think that.

Okay, there was a bit of misunderstanding over this, and I didn't lay it out in the rules, so I woudl like to state for future reference...

If you approuch a Cardinal, you leave yourself open to a counter question.  The counter question should be answered during the present turn.

There will only be one counter question, per Cardinal, per turn.

You make the counter-question sound like a sword stab... :S

Out of curiosity, will they always try to nail you with a "gotcha" on a topic that you probably don't agree with them on, or will they just ask about what is most important to them regardless of what you think about it?

Important question: are our votes public in the sense that non-player cardinals are aware of them and will be influenced by it? And what about changes of votes, etc?

Yes, Cardinals who vote for you, or have voted for you in past ballots (provided they didn't stop voting for you because they discovered they didn't like you) will be influenced by your vote, if you continually vote for the same person.

okay, I am enforcing a new doctrine that is going into effect immediatly.  From this poitn forward, ever ballot will last one week.  5 days will be devoted to speeches, Q&A and influencing, two days to voting.

If you don't think you will be able to make it for either or both of those periods for a turn, then you may turn in your speeches, votes and such by PM and I will act on them for you, when the time is right.

As for the two of you who haven't voted yet, you have exactly 24 hours.  From now on, anyone who cannot vote on time will be marked as "abstain".

Have you PMed them about the vote?  Maybe they aren't aware they're supposed to vote.

I would point out that abstentions are possible in papal elections.

Soulty, you have Rudo listed as two different votes in the last tabulation. I sure hope that the Santiago vote is a left-over from last time and that his actual vote this time is for me. Wink

That's weird... Rudo appears twice on the posted list, but not on my Spreadsheet, I'll take care of it.

I'll be gone over the weekend, and I'm not sure if I have time to do proper influencing.  So... Cardinal Cheng makes an impressively moving speech in front of the Cardinals and speaks to every single cardinal who will assure him the win! Tongue

Well, okay then... game over, Verin wins.

Seriously, you can just give me the very basics that you want to send out, it'll help a bit at least.

I'm gonna extend the influencing period by a day, as I haven't had a chance to get back to anyone about their PMs yet.
