A mathematician who wrote a series of books on ISO standards, which are used worldwide in virtually all companies for product quality and standardization. He made a fortune out of it.

After googling him I'm pretty sure he's an older clone of Willem Dafoe mixed with the 1960s Joker

That was so much of a roast that it overcooked my medium rare steak to a crisp.

Or a snake oil salesman clone of William Fichtner from Prison Break.

Imagine how Asa Hutchinson (former Arkansas Governor), Will Hurd (former Congressman), or Frank Suarez (current Miami mayor) must feel when they hear that they aren't debating but Perry Johnson is.

Best comment here i've read in a while lol.

Everyone keeps talking about this as if it's real. Do we have confirmation that the RNC is including Trafalgar polls in the balance? They may as well drop the polling criterion if that's their standard. The marble jars at the Iowa State Fair have a better claim to being a scientific poll than this garbage.

A good roast - but he's in fact wrong: DeSantis has already qualified for the second debate.

The recent Trafalgar polls (US, Iowa, NH) all had 800 likely voters or more and they are a Republican-leaning pollster. I'm confident the RNC will accept them.

They run afoul of the permitted sampling methods, as in addition to calls, texts, e-mails, and voice response - all of which are allowed - they include this line:

Quote
Two other proprietary digital methods we don’t share publicly.

It would take an extremely generous interpretation of "online panels" to pretend otherwise.

Trafalgar's methodology page also continues to include this:

Quote
We have also pioneered methods to accommodate the “Social Desirability Bias.” This allows us to obtain a poll participant’s true feelings in situations where we believe some individuals are not likely to reveal their actual preferences.

God only knows what that means, but it doesn't sound like anything that I would call a poll.

Asa Hutchinson is less than 1000 donors away from hitting the 40k requirement for the debate.

He has today and tomorrow to submit 40k donors to the RNC for approval and I think he will be at the debate, because he recently received about 2k donations per day.

Asa Hutchinson has qualified for the debate today, submitting 42.000 donors to the RNC and said he will sign the pledge because he thinks Trump won't be the nominee anyway.

That leaves Suarez, Blinkey, Elder and Hurd.

Suarez needs just 1 additional poll until tomorrow. But even the Iowa poll tomorrow wouldn't save him, because he already has an Iowa poll and two polls from the same state are not allowed.

The other 3 candidates have no chance to be at the debate.

Who the heck is Blinkey
Rando pastor from Texas, seems to be running a semi-credible campaign in terms of raising money, glitzy social media advertising, etc. Still a Perry Johnson tier candidate.

Perry Johnson is just two years younger than Trump, who is already lambasted as too old. I was curious about the average age and going by Wikipedia’s major candidates their average is 58.9

RNC confirmed Hutchinson qualified. He signed the pledge and his logic is that he believes, along with several legal titans now, that Trump is ineligible for the Presidency and so Trump won't be the nominee, so he can sign the pledge in good faith that he will vote for the nominee. He won't answer the direct question whether he'll vote for Trump if Trump is the nominee, just goes back to his answer is that he believes Trump won't be the nominee and so therefore he can sign the pledge in good faith.
