Joe, Gabu, dwdl

You're all quite educated.  Perhaps I can learn something from you.

In two paragraphs, you are to educate me by summarizing and giving your opinions on topics.  They are

1.George Bush's decision to end the Persian-Gulf war when he did
2.How Herbert Hoover's policies affected the Great Depression
3.The Secondary Sino-Japanese War and the after effects
4.Harry Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb
5.Who is your favorite founding father and why

I will not judge your veiws.  I will judge flow and logic.  Whomever writes the best essay will win immunity.  Whomever does not write at least two full paragraphs will be thrown out.  You have until Wednesday night.

When the Persian-Gulf War ended, it was 100% of the way through its progress since it began, and therefore it was the right time to end it.  George Bush realized this, and that's why he chose to end the war at that particular time, you know, because people were expecting it.  The same cannot be said for Harry Truman's decision to drop the A-bombs however, because it scared the bejeesus out of everybody, not least the Japs who were standing under it.  But that was just Harry's way.

As the second paragraph commences, so does the summary and analysis of the Secondary Sino-Japanese War.  That was a reeeal mess, let me tell you.  It all started when the Sinos shot Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Japan, and so the Japanese retaliated by attacking Fort Sumter.  Herbert Hoover tried to avoid getting the U.S. involved by signing off the Smoot-Hawley Tariff, but nobody really understood at the time how that would help, and so a bunch of liberal activist judges and Gay Agendas began the Great Depression to undermine him.  Six months later everybody involved was dead, and I think you'll agree that those are some pretty serious after effects.

And that is why John Hancock is my favorite Founding Father.

1.George Bush's decision to end the Persian-Gulf war when he did

It ended the Gulf War earlier than it would have had he not.

2.How Herbert Hoover's policies affected the Great Depression

They either made it worse or made it better.

3.The Secondary Sino-Japanese War and the after effects

It probably caused some Chinese and Japanese people to die.

4.Harry Truman's decision to drop the atomic bomb

That one definitely caused some Japanese people to die and also made them go "lol, f**k".

5.Who is your favorite founding father and why

Benjamin Franklin, because $100 = bling bling.
