1789-1832: Similar to the Maine/Nebraska system, but in unequally populated "electoral districts" and the 2 extra votes are distributed to the biggest district(s)

1904-1908: Each voter votes up to 8 separate times for each individual elector (which snared the TR and Taft campaigns because people didn't understand the ballots)

Why though?
