Name the best accomplishment and worst mistake you feel Joe Biden has made so far in office.

Best: Climate policies in IRA
Worst: Disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal and also the refusal to accept refugees afterwards (general conservatism on immigration is second)

Best: Foreign policy

Biden has generally been good at implementing industrial policy (e.g. chips act/semiconductor diplomacy in general) where it matters, while also building more robust symbiotic connections with reliable international partners. The latter is really not that special considering the favorable economic position the US has in many matters, but after Trump, a lackluster Obama administration FoPo (I do think navigating the Arab Spring was very difficult to be fair), and Bush, Biden stands out.

I think a rise of tensions with China was inevitable, and Biden has done well by advocating necessary national interests without unnecessary sabre rattling.

Worst: Lack of national leadership on housing supply issues (but this one is hard to sell to the public.)

Best: His initial executive actions (mostly reversing Trump-era actions/policies) and stimulus legislation.

Worst: His subsequent legislation has been mostly to the benefit of his special interest donors (and donor influence also helps to explain why he hasn’t fought anywhere near hard enough for legislation that would ostensibly benefit ordinary people).

Best - The inflation reduction act and bipartisan infrastructure bill.
Worst - His continued belief that Republicans will just have an epiphany and decide to start doing anything that would be even slightly good for his approval rating

Best: Obviously Afghanistan, but since that's been said, either the green energy subsidies or his handling of the Ukrainian war.

Worst: Failing to legalize weed despite having ample opportunity to do so.

Best - Inflation Reduction Act, specifically the climate provisions but there's other good stuff in there too. I also think he handled the Russian invasion of Ukraine quite well.

Worst - Nothing deeply disappoints me. In terms of execution, the Afghanistan withdrawal. In terms of consciously-made decisions, I didn't like the process of picking the Supreme Court nominee, even though I think the nominee herself is a perfectly good choice. I thought it was one thing to demographically balance the ticket with the VP selection, but it was pretty silly to restrict the list of candidates to one specific demographic group that makes up ~7% of the country (especially with a member of that same demographic group already serving as VP).

Best: His handling of the situation in Ukraine

Worst: I can't decide between Immigration or Student Loans. With the former, while I think Trump caused the problems at the boarder, Biden hasn't done a da*n thing to fix it, while with the later the administration and the Democratic party as a whole haven't done a thing to address why college is so expensive in the first place and are still pushing forgiveness despite the fact that even many millennials who struggled to pay for them but did, will be paying off someone else's loan on top of it.

Agree with the Gen-Z AAPIs here on what has gone relatively well. Immigration seems like a third rail where any Dem administration would've alienated most people on both sides of the political spectrum.
