Bronz thread and all ... gender can have elements that are "social constructs" while still having biological elements that line up with those constructs. There have absolutely been scientific studies that show men and women are more likely to have certain behaviors that do not have to be taught to them. That really shouldn't be as threatening as it is to people.
Indeed it's not an either/or, and it is unfortunate that so many people treat it as if it were. Men and women are actually different in a core sense, and aspects of that difference are also exaggerated and reinforced by society, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. There are also aspects that are arbitrary, like blue being for boys and pink being for girls, but that is ultimately the least interesting aspect of gender as a phenomenon.
