I think some of you need a little more faith in us.

1. After the last two months I don't have much faith left in pretty much anything IRL, much less in game.

2. Hardly anyone says what they are doing, what their timetable is or keeps the public at large informed. I think Laki has tried to do this with his office thread in recent times.

3. We are at the one year anniversary of when a Labor administration, conspired to hijack an election based on just the right combination of hubris, narcissism and collectivism occasionally emanating from left wing echo chambers and presently being shoved in our faces by both the National Socialist Front over there and mused about being replicated by a traitor adjacent on what I guess passes for the "Community discord for Atlasia".

4. Here we have a Labor administration whose activity is not even being defended by its own party members at this point, a Labor adjacent SoFE and a Labor Supreme Court with not the best track record of resolving cases in a timely matter recently.

5. Yet we are expected to divine your time table, I guess with Tarrot cards and tea leaves and "have faith in you", over a week after an election with just days before swear in time?

6. And to top it all I get my own personal warning from the Labor Chair. I guess I will frame that. I wonder if Scott has one of those.

Against all this backdrop, you would think their might be some sense of "hey we might want to be a little more transparent and communicating considering the subject matter, the recent history and the desire to avoid even the appearance of impropriety".

I must admit that I'm being surprised about how you literally went ballistic against us. We really did everything we could to make sure the ruling would be posted before the senators swearing in

We are not here to protect your feelings, you are hear to protect our constitutional rights.
It seems you are mostly here to be an ass hole.

Then enjoy playing the cowboy with your imaginary enemies. It's sad what you have become. I genuinely defended you when people wanted go lynch you in the past or were making fin of your personal problems but it appears you have decided to be part of the anti court vendetta.

It's not like Yankee was unjustified or wrong in any of his comments here and the RL court is treated at least 10x worse than these justified comments, at least on the left, IRL. “If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.”

No this was particularly unjustified. We took the case and delivered in time. This is just part of an another tirade against the court for no reason. It's not our faulft if the defense doesn't show up.

And regarding about taking the heat. I have been dealing with various threats on Atlasia because of ruling I made and when I was more active. I had to deal with various vicious assassination campaigns and as well attempts to write fake convos where I would be saying racist stuff to get me removed.

So I can take the heat, this is just disappointing to see he has become part of the same kind of mobs who used to make very hard attack against himself back in the days.

Who and where?
On the IRC before you started to play in 2014-2015. There was a particular psychopath who wanted to destroy him, made various vicious assassination campaigns against him, literally going personal although out of respect for yankee I will not develop this point further.

No this was particularly unjustified. We took the case and delivered in time. This is just part of an another tirade against the court for no reason. It's not our faulft if the defense doesn't show up.

I will break it down for your:

Stating the problem:
And there is little public indication of what is going on. Who has contacted who, what is being done about it and what the steps are being done to avert it.

Stating the Stakes:
Quote
The new congress is set to swear in on Friday at Noon, and for the first time in my memory, the entire At-large class won't be able to take their seats.

Establishing the Constitutional Concern:
Quote
The At-large are suppose to represent the people of the nation in the Senate and thus without them the "people at-large" are effectively being disenfranchised and deprived of their constitutional rights.

Summarizing the Case's deficiencies:
Quote
It would be one thing if things were proceeding apace and we had some idea of what is going on and how long the delay might be, but we don't.

More on the Case:
Quote
The court case has been completely one sided with the Plantiff and a litany of third party briefs as well.

Criticizing the DoFE For lack of response:
Quote
However, there has been nothing from the DoFE,

Criticizing the AG for lack of coordinating legal representation for a Gov't agency:
Quote
the Attorney General or any representative thereof,

My own criticism of the court:
Quote
no guidance from the court on how to resolve this matter in the absence of action on the part of the defendant.

Criticizing the President's lack of interest or involvement:
Quote
No public indication of any involvement or concern from the President that his government is about to stumble into a constitutional crisis, and thus no way to know what has been said or done on his part to try and ensure legal representation for the DoFE.

Addressing a potential excuse for innaction on the part of the President:
Quote
Sure we made DoFE constitutionally independent to prevent his firing by the President, but that does not preclude ensuring representation or action in a court case pertaining to an election and the communication necessary to carry it out to avert a disaster of this magnitude.

Establishing my Personal Standing and Vested Interest:
Quote
I voted for my damn Senators, I want them to represent me beginning Friday.

Demanding public Transparency:
Quote
The people deserve to know what the hell is going on. Not on discord, not in exclusive chat rooms and PMs, but here on the damn boards.

Just 7.051282% of my post in anyway referenced the actions of the court itself. Are you saying my statement of facts is wrong. Did the court publicly state anything between the missed deadline and the issuing of the verdict?

No, you did not. So may statement of facts is correct.

Establishing that, I demand that you provide evidence of this being an "unwarranted attack on the court, oh my!"

Actually I am trying to get you people to wake up before the real mob comes for your heads, and don't come crying to me when they do.

Because if their is one thing that will create more enemies for you, it is hubris and arrogance, the kind that holds the results of an election up in the air with little in the way of communication and responds to concerns motivated by the clock ticking with this level of disregard for the people.

You are your own worst enemy and when those mobs do come for you, just remember what I said back during the debate thread: "Learned nothing and forgotten everything".

There is nothing wrong with admitting to a mistake.
There is nothing wrong with adapting processes in the wake of a problem or a mistake

It is the failure to do this, the failure to reform to meet deficiencies, that produces populist outbursts and revolutions.

That is the ultimate lesson of 2015, not "see mob, must smash and do nothing different".

Amazing that Yankee threatened in Discord not 3 days ago to destroy the court (not to mention on an unrelated matter, my political party) if it delayed the verdict in such a fashion that postponed inauguration of the new term, and now is out here trying to pretend to be concerned about the court's sustainability as an institution after the court rendered a verdict in a timely fashion - all the while still ranting and raving about the court's performance, despite the entirety of the delay coming from one of the two parties involved in the case.

Take several seats, Yankee.

If you're so concerned about Discord and its effects on forum activity, maybe post such ranting on the boards as you so often demand of others?

Yes and I will restate exactly what I said on there on here and I STAND BY IT 100%:

S019 said the court might or should Bush v. Gore this and certify the election "as is on the basis of time".

If this "court certifies the election as is on the basis of time", then it has conspired to steal an election (on the one year anniversary of your homeboys trying to do likewise I would point out), and we should start the impeachments and "finish the job" (a reference to the National Socialist Front's motto") by ending Labor's existence.

Because after two Aprils in a row of trying to steal an election from the people, its pretty much got nothing else going for it, is just a criminal enterprise and would deserve it.

But thanks for taking me out of context and for "your subsequent actions" to try and get back at me. But the funny thing is, in order to "get back at someone" through your tried and true patented thug tactics, you have to know what I want or desire at this point.

Better luck next time. I don't care.

The problem here is, Labor thinks it can get away with anything as long as it can muscle its way through with vote drones.

Windjammer thinks if you are not his echo you are not his friend.

And Adam Griffin thinks his ten year old tactics are going to work this time.

Random commentary cited as evidence, all caps being used, rambling about stuff that either never happened or exaggerating the situations. Are you my grandfather?

Funny how I remember (and still have) all those convos from years ago where you complained about and resented how your party was now filled with post-Trumpian types and you couldn't do anything to rein their nuttiness in...I always wondered when your mind would turn into the same mush as theirs. Now I have my answer: 2023.

Everything you accused the court of doing or would potentially do didn't happen. Full stop. You can stop your warped ramblings and faux concerns about integrity now. All I had to do was post your own words to show everybody that you don't mean it.

Adam, do you really think I would have posted in a public discord if I didn't intend for it to be seen? I have made it abundantly clear when it was LT, when it was Donerail, when it was Truman that there would not be a tolerance for a January 6th in Atlasia. So when S019 openly posited, yes I snapped back firmly what would happened if it did.

If Truman could do that, anyone could and people need to do know that there will be consequences for that kind of crap happening again.

People also need to know that their officials are operating in their best interests, especially Labor considering their track record, and especially the court considering the recent criticisms.

Now take your bs discord chop shop bs back to where the sun don't shine along with your Labor thug mob. We ain't having it!

The entire context of this discussion was about judicial stuff and (by your own absurd claims) "stolen elections in April". You try to pay attention (or at least stay on topic) - or at least lay off the Percs!

That wasn't a snap. That was intentional shot across the bow.

The biggest danger of discord, is the echo chamber. People start with just wild ideas, then others start spouting them and no one pushes back. I pushed back. That is how these things of things take off. Next thing you know you have a Dengcord and things devolve from there.

The entire context of this discussion was about judicial stuff and (by your own absurd claims) "stolen elections in April". You try to pay attention (or at least stay on topic) - or at least lay off the Percs!

No, the thread was about an election result in limbo. I should know, I created it. Perhaps you had trouble reading the OP in your old age, so I broke it down for you above.

Hate to break it to you, Yankee, but virtually nobody bothered reading that - nor was any of that part of our discussion as initiated.

And again/absent that: our discussion was about the court's findings on an election result in April. No idea where your mind brought June into this! I certainly never mentioned it.

I love all my Laborites and will defend them to the death, but you effectively took something one regional officeholder in our party said in a public chatroom (one that has been historically and notably hostile to Laborites) as established doctrine. Sorry, but this was just a wild outburst on your part that showed your true feelings: under no normal, rational or well-adjusted scenario would someone come to the conclusions you're now trying to justify after the fact.

Okay, where?

I never said you were going to do it. I just said what would happen if you did. But apparently you think Labor is above the law and consequences, hence your outburst in this thread.

LMAO. An appropriate analog would be perhaps if a FED/SNP Southern Legislator (I refuse to call it by its latest BS made-up title; might as well bring back the Big Black Imperial Cube or whatever!) made a public comment that said "I'm going to invade the Capitol on January 6th!", I would never take such a simple comment seriously - let alone say something to the effect of "We're bombing Nashville in 5 minutes if they do!".

You overreacted. It happens sometimes. Just stop spinning this holier-than-thou spiel to justify it.

I am not going to be bullied into backing down from the obvious statement that criminal activity will be met with criminal prosecutions.

Impeachment is not bombing Nashville. It is a punishment for a crime. You over reacted because I threatened your precious party's existence in such a scenario, though truth be told in such a scenario I would expect it to implode on its own. I mean that scenario would basically wreck the operation once all the criminal proceedings were concluded.

And if YT did that, "invade Nyman scenario", I would support criminal prosecution for insurrection.
