What happens in a Dole-Kemp administration regarding Osama bin Laden and preventing 9/11? Does Dole do more to prevent terrorism than Clinton did?

What happens in a Dole-Kemp administration regarding Osama bin Laden and preventing 9/11? Does Dole do more to prevent terrorism than Clinton did?

The Dole-Kemp Administration almost captures Osama Bin Laden but narrowly misses in 1999. In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, President Bob Dole and his administration responded quickly to the threat posed by Osama Bin Laden and his network of Al Qaeda terrorists. In the days following the attack, Dole declared a war on terrorism and sought to bring justice to those responsible for the devastating attack.

President Dole and his administration implemented several measures to deal with the threat posed by Bin Laden. The first major action taken was a nationwide manhunt for Bin Laden, his associates, and any other members of Al Qaeda. This resulted in the capture of multiple Al Qaeda members and the freezing of millions of dollars of assets linked to the terrorist network.

The Dole administration also took steps to strengthen America’s international anti-terrorism efforts. This included the signing of the Patriot Act, which gave the government more power to monitor and detain suspected terrorists. Additionally, the Dole administration increased funding for intelligence agencies to enable them to better track and monitor terrorist activity.

1996: Senator Dole elected, defeats President Clinton

The election was also an historic one for Dole, as he was the oldest candidate to ever run for President at 73 years old. He was also the first World War II veteran to be nominated for President by a major party. He was able to use his experience in the military and in Congress to his advantage, touting his ability to work with both Republicans and Democrats to get things done.

He definitely was not. Nixon, Goldwater, McGovern, HW Bush, JFK, and Eisenhower were all WW2 vets.

I’m sure DylanSH99 meant last, not first.
