LMAO she is not winning a general election. It's giving Kelly Loeffler.

Does she honestly think the President or Governor can close a state border? With comments like this im inclined to agree with you.

The blue state Republican playbook is to be a competent professional who doesn't feel the need to talk much about partisan politics. This won't work if she tries to go this route.

Not reading every word of the above but “We’re becoming Massachusetts!” worked a lot better when people didn’t want to be Massachusetts.

More importantly, "We’re becoming Massachusetts!" would have worked a lot better when the state hadn’t become Massachusetts yet.

She really seems to think the votes are there for this type of campaign — shocking how ignorant a lot of Republican operatives seem to be about such a basic thing as the state's strong partisan lean. You would think consistent underperformances & "surprisingly decisive" losses since 2012 would have taught them, but apparently not.

NH isn’t "unpredictable," it’s a state that will vote reliably Democratic under normal circumstances. This type of campaign might work if Trump/the GOP nominee for President had a prayer of winning NH, but they don’t, so it’s doomed before it even began.

Aside from the Feltes-esque robotics, let's see how the campaign's been going...

Wow, didn't think my prediction would age well that quickly.

Also, this. Her record on abortion, especially, is going to weigh her down.

It's actually smart; she's trying to win a primary right now but she doesn't want to take positions unpopular with the general electorate. This is the type of thing that might go well with Republican primary voters without damaging her in the general.

True, this is the type of stuff that plays well in theory. Conservatives don't like MA.

It's also not a centerpiece of a winning campaign (see: NHDP, 2018-2020). Fearmongering about an income tax would work better.

I don't see how anything she's said over the last week is supposed to help with a GE.

The goal isn't to boost her in the GE, it's to boost herself in the primary without hurting her in the GE. Winning the primary often requires one to take positions unpopular with the general electorate such as "Trump actually won in 2020", and saying "We're becoming Massachusetts" is unlikely to hurt her in the general election.

Let's check in and see how our favorite candidate is pandering to the right:

The same LPNH that flat out said a Libertarian candidate "shouldn't support Democracy"?

Yeah that DEFINITELY makes me want her to win.

They also went on a racist rant a few weeks ago and told Nina Turner to go back to Africa and pick Cotton.

This isn’t the point but ya know with how American slavery was the “county of her ancestors” definitely includes the UK and probably France among other European countries. So not only are they fascistic bigots, but also dumb

Open, or just underenforced (a matter of semantics), but the fact is that massive amounts of deadly synthetic opioids are indeed crossing the border from Mexico.

That’s not semantics those are different things entirely. France and Germany don’t have an “under enforced” border. Either you don’t know what an open border is or you’re being intentionally dramatic

When Republicans and/or right-wingers say “open borders” nowadays, what they really mean is: “We don’t want non-white immigrants coming into this country.”

Thank you. So many clueless Repubs brainwashed into thinking one of the tightest borders in the world is somehow "open" is part of the great divide that prevents civil discourse.

In Europe you can cross borders through empty forests. In the Stans there are buses that just cross borders without checking papers for trade. In northern China there are vast expanses of unmanned Gobi desert border.

The US Mexican border is a concentration camp compared to the rest of the world.
