I asked the question in the ATlas Forum Chat Room on AIM, "What would your heaven be". Here are the responses; who do you believe is closest to your view of heaven?

I encourgae you all to post what you think heaven would be like after voting Smiley

Heaven, in my dreams, is a place free of self-doubt and other factors inside yourself that deter you in life. Of course, according to many people on this forum, I will go to hell, but I'll post that anyway.

As long as I can still watch the NFL, heaven can be a mud pit for all I care.

I live Nym90's view if he really said that. If he did, good for him, that's my view as well.

Jesus said, "In my father's house their are many mansions..." That's what I think Heaven is.

Acctually, I'm preferential to the version described by Gandalf in the movie Return of the King:

"The grey rain curtain of this world pulls back.  And all turns to sivler glass, and then you see it... white shores, and beyond, a far green country, into a swift sun-rise".

Call me a nerd, I don't care.  Smiley

I obviously voted for my own, but I would've put more thought into it if I had known it was going to end up in a poll. Smiley

I'm not saying their is a heaven, or hell. I'm just saying what your heaven is like. If heaven existed, what would it be like? What is your heaven like?

Well, as heaven doesn't exist, my heaven doesn't exist either. If it doesn't exist how can it be like something?

Bloody German Smiley

IF it existed, for arguments sake, what would it be like? Would their be vixens with golden locks playing ye olde harp, or would there be chocolate and marshmallows, or would it be like NH?

"If it existed, what would it be like?" That's pretty silly, right? "If you had a girlfriend, what would she be like?"
But I'll weigh the options and tell you in a minute what kind of heaven I'd be pleasantly surprised to find six feet under. Not NH, btw (see "Red and Blue")

To me, though, it's more of a place to satisfy my curiosity... there'd be TVs or monitors in lots of places where you could see what was going on in the world right now, or at anytime in the past... to see what people were thinking, doing, or saying, at that time... to find out what really happened to Amelia Earhart; what really happened at Roswell... and of course, you could always find it out firsthand from Amelia, or one of the scientists at Roswell at the time...

There's also be gizmos that could tell ou anything... for instance, who's really smarter: cats, or dogs... what would be the best song for me out of every song ever created...

I know these are rather mundane things, and this whole idea is rather childish, but that would be my idea of heaven... to be able to know everything...

I am pretty happy with the real world personally, or at least my world, if you know what I mean.
