Terrified and I'd wonder how Kamala became the incumbent? Did she win in 2024 or something happened to Biden in his second term?

I edited it out but she's not actually the incumbent.

Then just "the cycle" goes on for another round: Democratic president gets elected, is called upon to clean up the mess of his Republican predecessor, but hardly has enough time because the midterms produce a Republican House or congress after people grew impatient, Democrats didn't bother to turn out enough or Republicans successfully fearmongered. The president still gets reelected, but just has medicore success in his second term. When the next open seat election approaches, the Republican candidate is an insane lunatic or just utterly unqualified for the job, but narrowly wins over a not so inspiring Democratic candidate that served in retiring president's administration. However, the Republican nominee loses the popular vote yet again and once in office, runs the economy into the ground and has countless scandals before he either loses reelection or a is succeeded after a another disastrous term by a Democrat, who's again left to pick up the pieces. Then the same stuff starts all over again and history repeats itsself.
