Mixed. Some of the videos are good, but the video on their essentials secondary channel about France really irritated me.

"That goes to show that inequality doesn't always cause issues so long as there are equitable systems in place to make sure that everyone genuinely has the ability to rise up, and that the comfort, safety, and well-being of average people is not sacrificed in the name of profits for a few.

I think I somehow managed to make everybody on both the left and the right angry with that sentence."

I'm guessing the 1 HP vote was from someone he pissed off with the above statement.

I've watched a few.

The videos are mostly about laying out a basic explanation of different economic concepts and such. Occasionally, they have some slight implicit narrative going on, but nothing to qualify it as propaganda or mis-information.

The reality though is the economy is complex, and their videos provide a pretty superficial analysis meant for your average Joe. It sort of makes you aware of a bunch of these smaller topics, but not an expert in anything.

Tilt-HP

Seems to be quite out of his element in most topics he wades into, and one can easily tell he doesn't have actual economics understanding outside a few intro HS/College courses and online communities. /r/badeconomics (strong neoliberal bias, but they know their sh-t) has a good takedown of his weird hyperinflation dooming video 2 years ago [here]. It is slightly redeeming that the channel is elevating interest in economics for many folks, but that's as far as it goes.

Most macro economics is common sense of 'following the money.' It is certainly true that general equilibrium gets a lot more complex than partial equilibrium, but you can realize a lot from just trying to understand second order effects and going no further.

I find it's the liars who try to make economics more complex than it really is especially the gold bugs (and now the crypto bugs) in order to confuse and possibly frighten people.
