For this scenario, I’ll say that President DeSantis’ approval rating is at ~51%.

Whitmer doesn't really seem like a strong contender to win an open primary.  Warnock is the most likely Democrat nominee after Biden, IMO. 

That being said, any Republican with a 51% approval rating is going to win.  Trump barely lost at 44%.

While Whitmer/Warnock is my dream Democratic ticket (should be obvious considering it's in my signature). A President with a 50+ approval rating would win, even a Republican.
