Likely a lot fewer than the original question but I imagine that there are quite a few in Appalachia would fit this description.

I cannot think of any Republican politician in Appalachia who would be a member of a left-wing party in Europe. It is true that there are at least parts of Appalachia that, if transported to Europe, would plausibly vote for the left, but that's different.

It is possible to identify Democrats who would not belong to the left in Europe because the Democratic Party polled 51.3% in the last presidential election and 47.8% in the last legislative election. There is no country in Europe where left-wing parties regularly gain this large a share of the vote, which is to say that the Democratic Party is a larger tent than the left anywhere in Europe. For the same reason, it is hard to imagine a Republican politician who would belong to the left in a typical European country.

There are Republicans who would be a member of the liberal party in countries where they are the largest opposition to a more conservative or right-wing party.  Phil Scott would probably even be relatively left-leaning among PO in Poland, but not a member of a left-wing party per se.

Yes, one of the mistakes people make in these threads is to assume that the same people would be in politics and successful at it in the hypothetical scenario, when actually the biggest difference between these things in different countries is often the sort of people who actually get elected. You won't find many politicians with a background as an estate agent in the average European country; conversely, Congress is not exactly filled with people who used to have political or administrative posts with major Trade Unions.

I have already said this, but Tulsi Gabbard could fit in the Five Star Movement.
