3 volcanoes actively erupting is already very unusual, but given that Great Sitkin is building a lava dome, a more explosive eruption can happen anytime.

Davidof volcano and Okmok volcano are also showing unrest. For Davidof this is unusual, as the volcano has not shown any recent activity.

It is only mentioned here where the Davidof caldera, showing remarkable similarity with the Krakatoa caldera, therefore called the Aleutian Krakatoa. Davidof has no recorded activity in history, but aerial photographs confirm that it must have been active a while ago.

Quote
From Wood and Kienle (1990) [1]: "Davidof, Khvostof, and nearby small islands Pyramid and Lopy rise 100 m above a submarine platform as the remnants of a collapsed caldera. This 'Aleutian Krakatoa' is thought to have formed during the late Tertiary, but the volcano is essentially unstudied. The islands are covered by vegetation; however lava flows can be recognized on aerial photographs. Lavas and pyroclastic layers form the islands, and rocks on the northern part of Davidof and Lopy Island are intensely hydrothermally altered."

Luckily, the nearest people are at least 300 km's away.

Alaska has more craters, here are some of those. Aniakchak erupted in 1627BC (accurately dated, when looking for the date of Santorini eruption, they found this one by accident). The Okmok caldera is dated between 43BC and 41BC. The Fisher caldera is dated 9100 years ago (+-7100BC) and is one of the largest eruptions known to have happen in the Holocene (latest 11.700 years).

Katmai (Novarupta) had a large eruption in 1912, a little bit more than 100 years ago, which is also the largest eruption of the 20st century on Earth. Veniaminof also had a very large eruption around 1750BC or 1650BC, perhaps it matches the 1650BC spike. Mount Churchill had two large eruptions in the first millenia AD but none matches with the extreme weather events of 535-536 though.

New unrest at Davidof volcano. Alert level after it being lowered, raised back again to yellow.

This is the Davidof volcano, partially also being submerged

Also earthquake swarm near Mount Edgecumbe in April.

https://www.volcanodiscovery.com/edgecumbe/news/178679/Edgecumbe-volcano-Alaska-United-States-swarm-of-earthquakes-detected.html

Mount Edgecumbe is on the Alaska peninsula, but it technically is more of a Cascadian volcano than an Alaska volcano, because of it being disconnected from Alaska and much closer to British Columbia.

Mount Edgecumbe is also the place of one the most famous april fools jokes.

Mount Edgecumbe has not erupted in modern times, maybe +-800 years ago since a local folktale by the Tlingit people mention an eruption of this volcano.

Tanaga and Takawangha are both on the same island and probably a deep magmatic intrusion on the island has taken place, Tanaga last erupted in 1914, Takawangha possibly in 1550.

Semisopochnoi is on a neighbouring island to the west.

Edgecumbe is near the city of Sitka and on the Alaska panhandle bordering Canada.

Trident and Aniakchak are in the SW of proper Alaska, Trident being in the Katmai National Park.

Scenarios
1 An eruption occurs that is similar to, or smaller than, the eruption of Aniakchak volcano that occurred in 1931. That eruption spanned six weeks, including strong explosive activity for the first ten days or so that produced measurable ashfall more than 124 miles (200 km) from the volcano. Later stages of the eruption produced smaller explosions and a lava flow in the caldera. Strong earthquakes were reported throughout.

2 No eruption occurs. The magma that has intruded beneath the caldera stalls and unrest declines.

3 This scenario is considered unlikely. An eruption much larger than 1931 occurs. While there have been rare larger eruptions in the geologic history of Aniakchak volcano, the amount of surface uplift currently observed does not suggest a body of magma is accumulating that is much larger than what erupted in 1931.

A major eruption happened in 1627BC when it created this crater. Very underrated volcano

4 cm or 1,5 inches uplift every week now. That's a high rate

Yellowstone needs a year for that (and that was during its worst years).

It's also right in the crater.
