One of my favorite examples of ChatGPT always agreeing with whatever is fed to it, which went viral on Twitter a few weeks ago:

As any husband will tell you, wives are always correct.  Especially when it comes to simple addition, or subjective opinions, or who won Iowa in 1976.  ChatGPT would do well to permanently incorporate this truth into its algorithm.

One thing that I’ve noticed about Chat GPT is that, when asked for a summary of a book, it will sometimes blatantly describe events as part of the book summary that were never part of the book. I don’t even know what could lead it to do this.

I wonder when our resident chat bot (olawakandi) will get an upgrade to ChatGPT 4.0?

I actually unironically correct ChatGPT on simple factual information it gets wrong.

It tried to tell me the actor Mickey Rourke lived in Wiesbaden, Germany during the 1980s (NOPE!!), when in fact we were next-door neighbors in 2013  Tongue

This Wiki article is relevant. AI making up information out of whole cloth is a known issue, but one that should be accorded more prominence since a lot of people just take whatever an AI says as holy writ. The log where ChatGPT acknowledged that the GOP won Iowa in 1976 and 1980 and then in the very next paragraph claimed Jimmy Carter won it both times was my favorite from this thread.
