When you're in Florida, for many people you don't think about politics at all. I didn't when I was there in December/January, and it's one of the things I'm looking forward to as I head back there this week.

Obviously for the LGBT community the threat is very real, but for everybody else, life is very much like it was in the Northeast in the 80s/90s. For better or for worse.

If the heartbeat ban passes things will change, obviously.
