I don't think the US is anywhere close to the top here. And if so, it would be pretty disappointing.

I wouldn't call the US a hegemon but it isn't far off, and it's enjoyed that status for decades. This means it will loom larger in the average foreigner's mind than, say, North Korea.

For this reason alone, it has to be either #1 or very close to it. If Wales started a genocide tomorrow, most people would not be aware of it for long enough for it to change their perceptions of the country.

Surely - not. In the West - yes, but worldwide (given that "the West" is about 1/7 or 1/6 of world population) - much more people hates US then Russia. And US role as a "West (with claims to "world") leader" only increases this number..

But no, there is some truth to that in that the populations of large countries has been brainwashed to hate us. We could well be both the most loved and most hated country on Earth.

Not everyone. Among countries i lived or visited personally US is surely below Canada and Switzerland, and roughly on par (for me) with Germany, England or Slovenia. Among other - would greatly prefer almost any Scandinavian country...))))

Well, if you add China, Indonesia, Pakistan and Russia - it's already about 2 billion people. And no data for a LOT of big countries - it could easily go to 4 billion... Add to this, that vast majority of "third world" people doesn't know or desn't care about Russia - Ukraine conflict, and thus - does NOT hates Russia because of it, and - .....

According to my sources, it's Slovenia. Nobody likes those guys.

At least - i like this country a lot. Had Slovenian friend for almost 30 years, visited twice, and like to call it "Slavic Switzerland". Beautiful country)))
