Easternmost is the Urals, Southeasternmost is Turkish Thrace. Siberia, Canada, the US, Israel, etc. were settled and dominated by Europeans, but aren't geographically European. On Russia versus Turkey being European, the population center of the former is clearly within those boundaries and the latter isn't. It's pretty straightforward.
