OFFICIAL BALLOT
of the SOUTH

A voter's ballot is valid only if the voter:

1. Is registered with the Atlasian Registrar General as a voter of a Southern state during the entire time that the poll is open (the 72 hour period starting at 12:00:00 AM EDT on Saturday, May 13, 2023 and lasting through 11:59:59 PM EDT Monday, May 15, 2023);
2. makes only a single post in that election thread;
3. does not edit or delete the post more than one hour after the post has been made; and
4. clearly identifies the contest in which a vote is intended to be applied, except when there is only one contest on the ballot.

Article VII, Section 1 of the Southern Constitution:

Quote
The people of The South shall have the power to recall any regional elected official by the process of petition. Petitions that collect seven or more signatures shall be considered valid. When a valid petition is presented, the appropriate election administrator shall open the voting booth three days after the recall obtains seven (7) signatures. The voting booth shall be open for 72 hours or until it is mathematically certain a recall has succeeded or failed, whichever happens first. The recall question will be voted on in a separate voting booth, even if coincides with another election The recall question is: “Shall [name of officer] be recalled from the office of [name of office held]?” Every citizen will be given the opportunity to vote YES to recall and NO to retain during this time. Abstentions will not affect the results. A majority of Southern citizens and no less than four fifths of voters must vote affirmatively to recall an elected official. Recalled officials shall forfeit their offices immediately.

Shall Young Texan (TexasConservative) be recalled from the office of President of the South?

The South has 48 registered voters.

DeadPrez, Ragnaroni, DPKdebator, BlahTheCanuckTory, BG-NY, diptheriadan, LordRichard are ineligible due to region locks. Accordingly, 41 voters are eligible.

9 "No" votes out of 41 is 21.95%. This means it is mathematically impossible for four fifths of voters to affirmatively vote to recall.

Recall FAILS. Young Texan is RETAINED.

Vote Closed per Article VII, Section 1 of the Southern Constitution.
