Gamechange covers the 2008 election in good depth, Doubledown does the same for 2012. There was supposed to be a 3rd book about the 2016 election but one of the authors got MeToo’d

yeah i agree w this, two great books on the campaigns for sure, portrays a lot of inner goings on that u wouldnt see just watching TV

The making of the president series is amazing. A very under reported book is one called Marathon about the 1976 election. Most of it deals with the primaries in the politicking leading up to them. Truly engaging.
