If it is banned, what (if any) electoral impact will Biden being "the President who banned TikTok" have on 2024?

I don't think it will be banned. Maybe Apple and Google will remove the app from their stores but the traffic will not be blocked on the website and it could still be downloaded on Android if you know how.

I think probably a lot with the under 25 crowd.

It better not be. Tiktok is no worse with how it treats user data than any other major social media platform, and it shouldn't be treated any differently in the law than those platforms are.

Republicans want to ban Tiktok because of its left wing and highly queer user base, everything else is a pretense, and beltway Democrats better not let themselves get tricked into going along with this garbage.

Elon destroying every major social media platform like Thanos collecting the Infinity Stones.

After this, he heads to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

Goes far beyond just 'TikTok' though and the intense focus on this one company is myopic if we're really gonna criticize anything but their Chinese ownership, which is all many users cheering this on care about.

I say this as someone who wouldn't care either-way unless we're regulating more fundamental things about short-form content and social media in the first place.

A lot of people make money off TikTok. It is not just ads but also selling products.   Biden takes the risk of getting these voters angry.  He is better off trying to get a deal to reduce the level of PRC investment and ownership of TikTok.  Seems to me throwing money at this problem would resolve USA national security concerns.

Would not have considered this angle. But yeah, makes sense.
